The last day of summer is upon us at this very moment. I don't find myself sad at all that it is going - though my summer was too, too lovely. And as you can see by the three month lapse in my entries, very busy. Too many things happened to share it all in this one post, so will touch on some of the highlights and fill you in later.
Mostly, I have been making wool portraits of dogs still. It has now turned into a full fledged business.. I was also invited to show some of my dogs at a beautiful gallery, The FUEL Collection, in Philadelphia this summer. The show was titled Puppies are Biodegradable and its purpose was to raise awareness about the horrific problem of puppy mills.
Edgar and I made it there to see the city and attend a cocktail party at the gallery. I was pleasently suprised by Philadelphia. I had never been before and really enjoyed it. We also spent a short time in New York City where we stayed with my most favorite friends and visited Edgar's family. It was an action packed week of museums, galleries, bars, clubs, broadway shows, outdoor movies in Bryant Park, The Cloisters, picnics, lunches, amusement parks.... the list could go on and on. I was very proud of us for packing so much into our short trip.
Here area few of the dogs I have finished lately. I still love making them and thank goodness - I have about 90 orders for portraits right now! More about that another time....

This is Buddy a knock out of a St. Bernard living in Philadelphia and Dash a sweet little Yorkie also in Philly

This is Morgan and Maddie. Morgan, the German Shorthair Pointer is my father's dog

Dottie and Owen are also from Philly

This is Etta, her eyes melt my heart every time I look at them. I think this is one of my most favorite photos ever sent to me. What an angel. Can you believe this sweet girl is 18!! They are doing something right.
Well it is back to work for me.
