Driving to the Country for Wool

Yesterday, when I broke my last good felting needle, I could wait no longer, it was time to get more supplies. Always dangerous to my pocket book I have yet to come home with only what was on my list. ( I must stock up you see, the drive is more then an hour each way)

This trip was not any different and I found all sorts of wonderful wool colors that I had to have. So there will soon be a wool new line of felted soaps in the shop as well as some exciting wool wearables!

The drive to Carlton was really gorgeous. I was kicking myself for forgetting my camera as I drove past the orchards, wineries. cut wheat fields and old grain silos. I love driving out there in the fall when the colors are changing. I will be sure to bring my camera then.

All and all the trip was lovely, not much traffic, good sunny, but cool weather and a loud listen to old Love and Rockets CDs. It has been a while and I forgot how much I like them.

Can you tell me where you get your roving? I will tell you the best felting needles are from Japan. Let me know and I will send you a link.

Where do you buy your roving and other supplies. I live near madison Wisconsin but the rovings here are pathetic. I did find some great roving down in Taos this past fall.

BTW - your work is wonderful. Felt like I hit the jackpot when I came across your pieces. Very well done.
