I have very exciting news!!! My little wool pups are in the new issue of In Touch Magazine! Of all places! Celebrity News?? I'll take it and I am thrilled.
DOUBLE-DOG DARE
EVERY DOG DESERVES A MINI-ME!
Now you canine can have a cuddly friend for those long days at home alone - and it won't cost you a dime for the extra dog food. Artist Amelia Santiago of Portland, Ore., creates custom miniature dogs from felt that look exactly like your lucky pooch. "My second love, besides art, is dogs, so this is a natural combination of my two greatest passions," Amelia tells In Touch.
And it is paying off - she's already made more then 500 of the $145 one of a kind pups, which can be ordered at ameliamakesart.etsy.com.
In Touch June 23, 2008
Okay, how fabulous is that!!! I do love the part where they say " Amelia tells In Touch"! Too much! I do wish they would have said the are made from wool rather then felt. The word felt speaks about the technique rather then the material. But don't get me wrong, I am elated. I wrote to all the clients who's dogs were featured. It is not every day that your dog makes it into a gossip rag. Regular old canine stars! Woo hoo!
