A very warm thank you to all that have sent Hazel well wishes and links to cancer information and support. She is doing quite well. She hs healed from her surgery and is back to her usual antics which makes us smile. Her cancer is gone for now and we are still consulting about treatments and what to do to keep it at bay. We are very lucky that she has a type that is very unlikely to spread to other parts of the body.
This is her new sweater that she recently got from barkslope.com. She won their photo contest and was chosen "Dog of the Month" for October. She is too cute, no? She also won a $25 gift certificate that she used towards her new winter fighting sweater. It is a really great one. The way it is cut so high in the belly allows it to blanket over her back rather then bunch up when she lays down. Cozy goodness!
Business as usual in the studio. Felting dog portraits every day and all day long and still loving it. I was so pleased to receive so many photos of my portraits with their true life models recently so I think it is time to share again....
Little Miss Maggie was a birthday gift. Is't she pretty?
This is Ollie. He was adopted from a shelter into a very loving family and now is a bit of an agility star and at the top of his class. His family is so proud.
Hank Frank is the name of this redhead. He makes me think of Richie from Happy Days with his coloring and red freckles on his nose. He lives with his family in Brooklyn, NY.
This very handsome fellow is Benny. He wanted to eat his wool likeness. A feeling that is not uncommon I hear. I wonder what all the dogs think of their likenesses. Always curious for sure.
Big boy Boogie is a 23 pound kitty!!! He seems to have the "eat your likeness urge too". And he doesn't seem to be holding back. Bogey's person, Joan, wrote that his wool likeness had to b taken away because Bogey and the other three cats in his house found him very lick-a-licious.
And finally, these little sweet peas, Penny and Baily. This picture, as all the pictures do, made me smile and laugh with glee. So very sweet.
One last photo... My littleman, Oscar. He has taken an unintended back seat to Hazel lately since she has been sick. But he is handling it very well. He was her little nurse, always by her side while she recovered from her surgery. If she never went for another walk, he would remain next to her totally content (though this is so not the case). His loyalties ae with her always. Little angel.
